The Foundation โ Howrah, West Bengal
Every great institution begins with one person who believes in something deeply enough to act on it.
In 1984, Mr. Vashistha Singh laid the foundation of what would become BizFinance Office in the commercial heart of Howrah, West Bengal. Mr. Vashistha Singh had served with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) โ a life of discipline, service, and deep familiarity with the people who built and sustained the railways and the communities around them.
That experience placed him at the heart of West Bengal's most vibrant commercial corridors. His customers came from the bustling markets and neighbourhoods he had always known โ Belur Math, Liluah, Bara Bazar, Mahestalla, Esplanade, Sealdah, Bali, and Howrah. Traders, shopkeepers, and small manufacturers who had ambition but lacked access to reliable credit. People he trusted, and who trusted him.
Mr. Vashistha Singh offered something far more valuable than a formal lending product: a relationship built on trust. He lent on character, shook hands on deals, and understood the rhythms of local trade better than any bank officer ever could. Word spread fast. A reputation was being built โ one deal, one handshake at a time.
